Our House

At the Steissbach since 1957

Our House

My grandparents built Haus Steissbach in 1957. The small stream next to the house gave it its name.

I took over the house in 2010. At that time it was renovated and extended. In 2026 the second half of the house was added. With this renovation the offer grows to seven holiday apartments. The entrance area and the ski room are being redesigned. In apartments 3, 6 and 9 a private sauna is part of the apartment.

The Hafele Family

We run the house ourselves and are on site. Do you need a tip for a hike, want to know which bus takes you to the mountain lift, or are you looking for a nearby restaurant? Just ask us.

We speak German and English and are happy to help you plan your days in St. Anton.

Between slope & Verwall valley

The location makes many routes short. The ski slope runs behind the house. It is about a two-minute walk to the entry point. The free village bus stops right in front of the house. In high season it runs about every ten minutes according to the current timetable.

The MooserWirt and several restaurants are nearby but cannot be heard inside the house. In the other direction the Verwall valley begins, with trails for walking, hiking and cycling.

Winter

In the morning you reach the slope in a few minutes. In the afternoon you can walk to the MooserWirt or head straight back to your apartment. You store skis and boots in the house's ski room.

Summer

The Verwall valley is almost on the doorstep. For longer tours, more than 400 kilometres of marked hiking trails are available around St. Anton. Bike tours and rides with the summer lifts can also be planned well from here.
