Winter on the Arlberg
WinterThe slope runs behind Haus Steissbach. After about two minutes' walk you start your ski day. The village bus stops right in front of the house and takes you to other mountain lifts and into the centre.
Ski Arlberg connects St. Anton with St. Christoph, Stuben, Lech, Zürs, Warth and Schröcken. 300 kilometres of slopes and 85 lifts and cable cars are spread across the whole area.
Skiing
From St. Anton you ski all the way to Warth and back again. The area offers blue, red and black runs. For a long ski day, follow the RUN of FAME through several villages of the Arlberg.
From Haus Steissbach it is about a two-minute walk to the slope. So the ski day begins and ends without a trip to the entry point.
Snowboarding and freestyle
Snowboarders use the same 300 kilometres of slopes. On the Rendl lies the Stanton Park with rails, boxes and kickers. Beginners also find suitable elements there.
Winter hiking
For a day without skis, cleared paths lead through St. Anton and into the Verwall valley. The entrance to the valley is close to the house. Distance and duration can be adapted to the weather and your fitness.
Cross-country skiing
In the region, cross-country trails are prepared for classic technique and skating. You will find current trails, openings and conditions in the winter sports report of the tourism association.
Tobogganing
The natural toboggan run leads from the Gampen to Nasserein. It is four kilometres long and drops about 500 metres in altitude. The start is at 1,850 metres and is reachable by the Nasserein lift. Operation and toboggan evenings depend on snow and weather.
Après-ski and dinner
The MooserWirt is just a few steps from the house. Several restaurants are also within walking distance. Despite the proximity, the après-ski venues remain out of earshot of the apartments.
Back at the house
You store skis and equipment in the ski room. In apartments 3, 6 and 9 the private sauna awaits directly in the apartment.
